Jeddah: The Zakat, Tax, and Customs Authority (ZATCA) continues its participation in the Makkah Route Initiative, launched by the Ministry of Interior as part of the Pilgrim Experience Program under Saudi Vision 2030.
According to Saudi Press Agency, ZATCA provides comprehensive customs services that streamline pilgrims' travels from their departure points abroad to their arrival in the Kingdom. These services are provided at the Makkah Route lounges located in King Abdulaziz International Airport in Jeddah and Prince Mohammad bin Abdulaziz International Airport in Madinah. For pilgrims traveling from participating countries, customs procedures are completed at their home airports, enabling them to enter Saudi Arabia and proceed to their accommodations without delays.
Utilizing advanced customs technologies and smart systems, ZATCA enhances procedural efficiency and ensures a seamless experience for pilgrims. The initiative aims to save time, reduce effort, and deliver high-quality services which enrich the overall Hajj journey.
