Riyadh: On the World Youth Skills Day, the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) of Saudi Vision 2030 launched the insight report for the second annual Human Capability Initiative (HCI2025), which took place in April.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the report launch, part of the Capabilities Dialogue series, unfolded at the Cultural House of Riyadh Oases, marking the international day with a theme for transforming growing challenges into opportunities.

The report highlights the key outcomes from the second annual conference, themed 'Beyond Readiness,' summarizing insights from over 110 dialogue sessions that explored ways to develop human capabilities in response to rapid global transformations.

The report emphasizes three interconnected pillars that form a practical framework for transforming capability development, aiming at optimizing resources to enhance capabilities through results-based educational models, supporting lifelong learning, and instilling values that promote well-being, inclusivity, and identity. Additionally, it underscores harnessing efforts to maximize impact by aligning policies and systems, integrating efforts among sectors, and ensuring joint accountability for sustainable outcome.

The report emphasizes the need to redefine success in capacity building by empowering learners, enhancing the role of teachers as lifelong learning facilitators, and designing equitable and inclusive educational environments. The approach aims to achieve investment efficiency and ensure long-term impact.

The insight report was prepared with the support of HCI knowledge partners, comprising local and international academic organizations and institutions. They include the University of Chicago's Harris School of Public Policy, Boston Consulting Group (BCG), the UN Children's Fund (UNICEF), HD Ventures, the UN Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), the UN Development Programme (UNDP), the King Abdullah Petroleum Studies and Research Center (KAPSARC), Tuwaiq Academy, Google for Education, the Inter American Development Bank (IDB), PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC), and Kearney consulting firm.
