Tabuk: University of Tabuk president Abdulaziz Alghamdi on Wednesday inaugurated the Energy Efficiency Symposium, organized by the university's Faculty of Engineering in partnership with the Saudi Energy Efficiency Center, Japan's Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry (METI), and the Energy Conservation Center, Japan (ECCJ).
According to Saudi Press Agency, Japanese Ambassador to Saudi Arabia Yasunari Morino attended the event, along with representatives from the government and private sectors, as well as local and international experts in energy and sustainability.
The symposium reflects the university's commitment to strengthening its research and academic role in addressing critical issues, affirming its position as a key partner in serving the community, and supporting national and global sustainability objectives. It also supports national initiatives aimed at improving energy efficiency and rationalizing consumption, while fostering cooperation with local and international partners to promote knowledge exchange, scientific research, and innovation in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
