Jeddah, Water Transmission and Technologies Company completed all preparations for this year's Hajj season to supply the Makkah region, Madinah, and the holy sites to provide pilgrims with a total daily water supply of 1 million cubic meters at the peak days of Hajj. This capacity can increase to 1.3 million cubic meters if needed, following the full activation of the Mughmas reservoirs, which exceed their design storage capacity of 1 million cubic meters. Madinah will receive a total daily supply of up to 1.4 million cubic meters. The efficiency of pumping stations has been increased to some 125% of their design capacity, and operational storage capacity has been raised to 98% of the design storage capacity. The company stressed the completion of scheduling all types of maintenance to ensure the efficiency and effectiveness of equipment and devices. It also emphasized enhancing coordination with all relevant entities and security agencies associated with the Hajj and Umrah seasons, intensifying field inspec tions to ensure the highest efficiency and reliability in supplying Makkah, Madinah, and the holy sites.
