Niamey: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) office in Niger has successfully carried out the first phase of its relief and educational initiative aimed at supporting orphans. This phase was implemented in the presence of the orphans and their guardians, fostering an atmosphere of gratitude and relief.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initial phase involved the distribution of 440 food baskets to families in need. Beyond providing immediate nutritional support, the project also addresses educational and social needs by supplying clothing and covering tuition fees for all the orphans included in the program. This comprehensive approach ensures that the children can continue their education without facing financial difficulties.
The timing of this initiative is significant as it precedes Ramadan, a period when the demand for basic necessities typically rises. The project is designed to alleviate the financial pressures on orphan families, bring happiness to the children, and promote a sense of community support.
