Conakry: The World Assembly of Muslim Youth (WAMY) has concluded its surgical caravan in the Republic of Guinea, Conakry, achieving significant success with 221 surgical procedures performed and 848 medical cases examined, alleviating the suffering of many patients in need.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the caravan was conducted at the military hospital in Conakry and lasted for more than 10 days, with the participation of a specialized medical team comprising highly skilled doctors in pediatric surgery, internal medicine, and gynecological surgery.
WAMY emphasized that the caravan provided its services free of charge and witnessed a high turnout of patients in urgent need of medical and surgical care, particularly those suffering from chronic diseases or conditions requiring immediate surgical intervention.
WAMY's office in Conakry expressed its deep gratitude to the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia for its ongoing humanitarian efforts benefiting people worldwide. It also acknowledged the strong cooperation extended by the Saudi Embassy in Guinea and the Guinean government authorities, which facilitated the caravan's operations and helped achieve its humanitarian objectives in serving the community.
