Makkah: As part of its preparations for the Hajj season 1446 AH, the Transport General Authority (TGA) continued its field inspection campaigns yesterday, conducting more than 13,998 inspections in cooperation with relevant authorities across Makkah and Madinah.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the inspections resulted in 1,415 field violations and 327 automated violations, with an overall compliance rate of 93%. The campaign aims to enhance regulatory adherence and ensure safe and efficient transportation services for pilgrims, enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and peace of mind.
The TGA reported that violations included operating buses without onboard restrooms for intercity travel, drivers without valid driver cards, operating without the required permits, and using transport vehicles without operation cards.
