Tourism Ministry Enhances Oversight and Awareness Campaigns in Makkah During Hajj

Makkah: The Ministry of Tourism is continuing its intensive field efforts in Makkah during the Hajj season 1446 AH by conducting inspection and awareness campaigns across various types of hospitality establishments. These efforts are carried out in coordination with relevant government entities to ensure the quality of services provided to pilgrims, enabling them to perform their rituals with ease and tranquility.

According to Saudi Press Agency, from the beginning of Dhu Al-Qidah until yesterday, the ministry's inspection teams conducted 3,811 regulatory visits and 436 awareness visits to hospitality facilities in Makkah. The teams also addressed 636 complaints, covering issues such as cleanliness, service quality, booking, and maintenance. During their rounds, the inspection teams monitored the extent to which establishments comply with approved regulations and guidelines, particularly regarding cleanliness, safety measures, and adherence to health instructions.

The ministry emphasized its commitment to ongoing oversight of the quality of tourism services provided to pilgrims, urging pilgrims to report any concerns by contacting the unified tourism center at 930, which is available around the clock.
