Togolese Participant in Makkah Competition Credits Saudi-Printed Quran for His Journey

Makkah: A young man from the Togolese Republic, Abdulmohsen Ibrahim, is participating in the 45th King Abdulaziz International Competition for Memorizing, Reciting, and Interpreting the Holy Quran, hosted by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance at the Grand Mosque in Makkah. His story highlights the far-reaching impact of the Kingdom's efforts in spreading the Quran.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Ibrahim's journey began at the age of 10 when his father gifted him a copy of the Quran from the King Fahd Glorious Quran Printing Complex during a visit to Madinah. This single gift inspired him to memorize the entire Quran in just four years. He still keeps that copy of the Quran and describes it as his most prized possession, a constant reminder of the Kingdom's support for Muslims worldwide.

Expressing his pride in representing Togo, Ibrahim said he feels honored to participate in the competition. He thanked the leadership of Saudi Arabia for the continuous support in printing and distributing the Quran globally.
