Riyadh: The General Directorate of Civil Defense urged the public to exercise caution, stay in safe areas, avoid flood-prone valleys and watercourses, and refrain from swimming in them, as thunderstorms are expected to continue across most regions of the Kingdom until Sunday. It emphasized the importance of following official instructions issued through various media outlets and social-media platforms.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Makkah Region will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, leading to flash floods, hail, and downward winds causing dust and sandstorms. Similarly, the Riyadh Region will be affected by moderate to heavy rainfall, resulting in flash floods, hail, and downward winds stirring dust and sand.
The directorate indicated that the regions of Madinah, Al-Baha, Aseer, Jazan, Qassim, and the Eastern Province will experience moderate to heavy rainfall, while Najran Region will see moderate rain, and Hail Region will have light showers.
