Thunderstorms and Gusty Winds Expected in Several Saudi Regions

Jeddah: Weather conditions across several regions of Saudi Arabia are set to change on Sunday with thunderstorms and gusty winds forecasted. According to Saudi Press Agency, the National Center for Meteorology has predicted thunderstorms accompanied by hail in parts of Najran, Jazan, Aseer, Al-Baha, and Makkah regions. Additionally, gusty, dust-stirring winds are expected to affect these areas, along with parts of Madinah and the coastal road leading to Jazan.

Thunderclouds are also likely to form over parts of Eastern and Riyadh regions, contributing to a rise in maximum temperatures in these areas, as well as in Northern Borders and Qassim regions. The conditions are expected to impact daily activities, and residents are advised to stay updated with the latest weather warnings.

Over the Red Sea, wind patterns will vary from northwesterly to southwesterly at speeds of 10-45 km/h in the central and southern parts, escalating to 50 km/h in the southern part. Waves in this region are anticipated to range from half a meter to over two meters, making the sea conditions calm to choppy.

In the Arabian Gulf, wind speeds will differ, with southeasterly to southwesterly winds blowing at 10-30 km/h in the northern and central parts. The southern part will experience northeasterly to southeasterly winds at speeds of 10-50 km/h. The sea conditions will mirror those of the Red Sea, with waves varying from half a meter to over two meters, ranging from calm to choppy.
