Riyadh: Taif University has made a significant leap in the 2026 Academic Ranking of World Universities (ARWU), published by ShanghaiRanking, advancing 219 places to rank 408th globally, compared with 627th in the 2025 ranking. According to Saudi Press Agency, the university also confirmed its advancement to fourth place among Saudi universities this year, up from sixth place in the previous ranking, underscoring its growing academic standing and strengthening presence both nationally and internationally. It said that this progress reflects the university's continued efforts to develop its scientific research system and strengthen its academic competitiveness, contributing to its improved position in global university rankings.
