Strategic Defense Research Center, RAND Europe to Bolster Research Cooperation

Riyadh: The Center for Strategic Defense Research and Studies at the Ministry of Defense has formalized a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with RAND Europe during the World Defense Show (WDS) 2026. The agreement is designed to enhance collaborative efforts in strategic studies and research, facilitating the exchange of expertise to support decision-making processes.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the MoU aims to establish scientific and research collaboration between the parties, emphasizing mutual respect and complementarity while adhering to each organization's regulations and procedures. The areas of cooperation outlined in the agreement include knowledge exchange on shared interests, advisory support for organizing scientific events, and the organization of conferences, seminars, and workshops.

Further provisions of the agreement include the preparation and execution of joint research activities, alongside the exchange of visits and training programs for experts and specialists. RAND Europe, known for its independence and nonpartisan approach, brings a wealth of experience in public policy research. This partnership is expected to leverage RAND Europe's expertise in strategic analysis and policymaking to foster a sustained scientific and research impact.
