Riyadh: The Muslim World League (MWL) welcomed the statement issued by the foreign ministers of Saudi Arabia and several other Arab and Islamic countries, condemning the illegal measures of the Israeli occupation government aimed at imposing its claimed 'sovereignty' in the occupied West Bank and displacing the Palestinian people.
According to Saudi Press Agency, MWL Secretary-General and Chairman of the Organization of Muslim Scholars Sheikh Dr. Mohammed Al-Issa warned of the dangerous repercussions of the Israeli government's continued violations and disregard for international and humanitarian laws, noting that these actions undermine peace efforts. He emphasized that the occupation's expansionist policies and illegal measures in the West Bank are fueling violence and regional instability.
He called on the international community to uphold its legal and moral responsibilities, enforce relevant Security Council and UN resolutions, and respect the Palestinian people's inalienable right to self-determination and statehood, maintaining that this is the only path to a just, lasting peace in the region.
