SOCPA Participates in International Federation of Accountants Board Meeting in New York


New York: The Saudi Organization for Chartered and Professional Accountants (SOCPA) continued its leadership and international presence, represented by its CEO Dr. Ahmed Abdullah Al-Meghames, who participated in the International Federation of Accountants (IFAC) Board meeting.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the meeting reviewed the latest developments in the activities of the IFAC Board and discussed major global developments in the profession, including international accounting standards, assurance and auditing practices, performance quality standards, and adherence to professional ethics and codes of conduct.



Al-Mughames explained that the organization’s membership in the IFAC Board reflects its efforts to enhance international presence and contribute to the developmental impact on the profession both locally and globally. He emphasized SOCPA’s commitment to actively participating in such global events to explain its position on international standard projects and the accounting profession in general, as one of the leading organizations regionally and internationally.



Al-Mughames was recently elected as a member of the IFAC Board, confirming the Kingdom’s high international standing in the fields of accounting and auditing, and across all related sectors.
