Riyadh: As part of its efforts to expand recreational options and enhance quality of life, Riyadh unveiled Shuaib Ghadhwana Park, a new urban destination that blends natural landscapes with modern amenities. Developed along a tributary of Wadi Hanifa, the park extends over 5 kilometers, offering residents and visitors an ideal environment for walking, relaxation, and summer leisure activities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the park is a key initiative under the Green Riyadh program, which aims to rehabilitate natural sites across the city to create sustainable and accessible public spaces. Shuaib Ghadhwana Park now serves as a vibrant green outlet for nearby neighborhoods and city visitors, combining ecological awareness with recreational benefits.

Designed as an integrated destination catering to all age groups, the park features 22 kilometers of pedestrian trails, 13 children's playgrounds, and multi-purpose sports facilities. Visitors can enjoy more than 65,000 square meters of shaded seating areas with scenic views of the water, making the park an attractive and safe environment for exercise, strolling, and family outings.

The landscaping includes over 15,000 trees and shrubs of native species, ensuring harmony with the surrounding natural environment and supporting the sustainability of local vegetation. The park utilizes advanced irrigation systems powered by recycled water, promoting environmental balance and resource efficiency in line with Green Riyadh's sustainability goals.

In addition to its natural elements, the park is equipped with service facilities such as parking lots, rest areas, and public amenities, providing a comprehensive visitor experience from arrival to departure. With its inclusive design and eco-friendly infrastructure, Shuaib Ghadhwana Park has quickly become a favored summer destination for families, youth, and fitness enthusiasts alike.

The project stands as a model of the Green Riyadh initiative, part of the broader objectives of Saudi Vision 2030, which aims to increase green spaces, transform natural valleys into open parks, and build an urban environment that promotes health, well-being, and sustainability.
