SGS Discusses Geology, Mining Cooperation with International Bodies

Riyadh: The Saudi Geological Survey (SGS) has held several days of joint meetings with international organizations, including the United States Geological Survey, the Geological Survey of Finland, and the British Geological Survey, to discuss cooperation in geology and mining.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the meetings discussed ways to strengthen partnerships in these fields, contributing to the development of national capabilities and advancing the sector to international standards. They also focused on the human factor as a key axis in the development process, in addition to leveraging advanced technologies and processes in exploration and production operations.

The discussions represent a strategic step toward building an integrated geological system with a global dimension, affirming the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's commitment to strengthening its international standing in the field of mining and supporting sustainable development through qualitative partnerships with leading institutions and international bodies.
