Riyadh: Moderate to heavy rain, which could lead to flash floods, is anticipated across several regions in Saudi Arabia, including Aseer, Al-Baha, Makkah, Madinah, Hail, Qassim, Riyadh, Eastern, and Northern Borders regions. The weather conditions may also bring hail and dust-stirring winds to these areas. Additionally, light to moderate rain is expected in parts of Jazan and Najran regions, with the possibility of fog formation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, winds over the Red Sea are predicted to be westerly to northerly at speeds of 20-40 km/h in the northern and central parts, and southwesterly to southeasterly at speeds of 10-45 km/h in the southern part. Waves in the Red Sea may vary from half a meter to two meters, resulting in a sea state that ranges from calm to choppy.
In the Arabian Gulf, northwesterly to northerly winds will prevail in the northern and central parts, while the southern part will experience northerly to northeasterly winds at speeds of 12-50 km/h. Wave heights in the Arabian Gulf are expected to range from half a meter to two and a half meters, leading to a similar calm to choppy sea state.
