Seven Luxurious Fabrics Weave the Holy Kaaba’s Kiswa

Riyadh: The General Authority for the Care of the Affairs of the Grand Mosque and the Prophet's Mosque. The authority utilizes the finest and highest quality fabrics in the making of the Kiswa of the Holy Kaaba, selecting seven meticulously woven materials in a legacy of care that spans over 100 years.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority emphasized that the fabrics supplied to the Kiswa Factory include plain green silk, which is used behind the curtain, and patterned black silk along with plain black silk. Additionally, beige cotton lining is used for the Kaaba cloth, while plain red silk and white cotton fabric are also part of the selected materials. Patterned green silk is specifically used for the inner lining of the Kaaba and the covering of the Prophet's Chamber.
