SERA Showcases Energy Transition Experience in Muscat

Muscat: The Saudi Electricity Regulatory Authority (SERA) took part in the 22nd Annual Conference of the Energy Regulators Regional Association (ERRA) in Muscat, Oman. The event saw the participation of numerous regional and international regulatory bodies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, SERA was represented by Vice Governor for Consumer Affairs Eng. Thamir Alhammad during the opening session of the conference. The session, themed "Progressing Energy Transition via Effective Policies and Regulation," focused on SERA's initiatives in expanding renewable energy projects. This expansion is part of the Kingdom's ambitious targets to have renewable energy make up 50% of its total electricity production by 2030. Alhammad also highlighted the authority's transformation project, which aims to enhance its role in protecting the rights of electricity consumers across the Kingdom.
