Security Patrols in Makkah Arrest Two Residents for Posting Fake, Misleading Hajj Service Advertisement on Social Media


Makkah: Security patrols in Makkah arrested two Indonesian residents for committing fraud by posting fake and misleading advertisements for Hajj services on social media platforms. Fake Hajj wristbands and cards, along with tools used for such activities, were found in their possession. They were detained, legal measures were taken against them, and they were referred to the Public Prosecution.



According to Saudi Press Agency, the Public Security urged the public to comply with Hajj regulations and instructions and to report violators by calling 911 in Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 in the other regions of the Kingdom.
