Al-Kharj Pilgrims Service Center Deploys AI to Serve Pilgrims

Al-kharj: The Municipality of Al-Kharj Governorate has prepared the Pilgrims Service Center to receive pilgrims arriving by land through the governorate, spanning more than 50,000 square meters and bringing together over 25 governmental, private, and volunteer entities to provide an integrated system of specialized and dawah services during this year's Hajj season.

According to Saudi Press Agency, pilgrims visiting the center benefit from the pilgrim assistant robot, supervised by Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University in Al-Kharj. The robot provides services in 96 languages and was designed using artificial intelligence to answer frequently asked questions that pilgrims may need during their journey.

More than 1,400 male and female volunteers are participating in the center's operations, providing a range of services including hospitality, daily meals, accommodation, medical care, and the distribution of gifts and bags, in addition to translators in several languages to facilitate communication with pilgrims of different nationalities.
