Riyadh: The Saudi Data and AI Authority (SDAIA) has invited the public and stakeholders to contribute feedback on proposed changes to the implementing regulation of the Personal Data Protection Law. Participants can share their input through the unified electronic Public Consultation Platform (Istitlaa). This initiative seeks to enhance participation from both institutional and individual stakeholders in shaping the regulatory framework for data in Saudi Arabia and achieving governance objectives in the data sector.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the draft amendments are intended to clarify the procedures and controls in the implementing regulation. These changes will help entities and individuals subject to the law better comply with its provisions. Additionally, the amendments aim to support enforcement procedures, ensuring the law effectively protects personal data, safeguards individuals' rights, and boosts confidence in services that rely on personal data processing.
