Riyadh: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority is participating in the Hajj Conference and Exhibition, underway until January 16, to showcase its services to pilgrims, advancements in its ambulance fleet, and the technologies supporting its operations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the authority is presenting 4x4 ambulances that are equipped with the latest technical specifications and linked to the command, control, and medical transport centers to improve response times and ensure efficient ambulance services.
Also on display is the "spider" motorcycle, designed for rapid deployment in emergency situations, particularly in crowded areas. Equipped with advanced medical devices such as oxygen cylinders, neck and immobilization splints, and other essential supplies for treating emergencies like asthma and heart attacks, the motorcycle greatly improves emergency response effectiveness.
The authority is also showcasing its amphibious vehicle, the first of its kind in the Middle East, known for its ability to navigate rugged terrain, water, and muddy areas. Capable of carrying two patients and six other individuals, it can operate continuously for up to 19 hours.
In addition, the mobile field training unit features a state-of-the-art ambulance equipped with internal cameras and external display screens that provide real-time updates on operations inside the vehicle. This vehicle not only supports hands-on training for field staff but also serves as an interactive platform to present educational materials to visitors.
