General

Riyadh: The Saudi Red Crescent Authority has mobilized a dedicated team of over 500 men and women volunteers to provide emergency and humanitarian services during the Hajj season 1446 AH. This extensive volunteer effort will significantly enhance the SRCA's emergency response capabilities across Makkah, Mina, Arafat, and Muzdalifah.

According to Saudi Press Agency, these volunteers will serve pilgrims from the moment of their arrival at various entry points, including Al-Haditha in Al-Jouf Region, Al-Wadiah in Najran Region, Jadidat Arar in Northern Borders Region, and Halat Ammar in Tabuk Region.

The volunteer force is strategically divided into specialized tracks to ensure comprehensive coverage: over 400 volunteers are assigned to the emergency track, 150 to the humanitarian track, 30 to the logistics track, and 13 to the media track.

Crucially, translators fluent in nine languages will be deployed throughout pilgrim locations from their arrival to their departure. These multilingual volunteers will play a vital role in facilitating communication, supporting ambulance teams, and offering a wide range of medical and humanitarian services.

Volunteers will work around the clock at key locations, including the Grand Mosque, the Prophet's Mosque, and the holy sites. Ambulance and humanitarian teams, supported by these volunteers, will be distributed to ensure comprehensive coverage of all areas where pilgrims are present.
