Riyadh: The Saudi national team is set to participate in the 20th International Standards Olympiad, scheduled to be held in Korea from August 12 to 14, with 40 teams from around the world expected to take part. The Kingdom's delegation comprises four teams of students from middle and high schools, selected and prepared through intensive training and qualification programs.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the initiative is the result of a strategic partnership between the King Abdulaziz and His Companions Foundation for Giftedness and Creativity (Mawhiba), the Ministry of Education, and the Saudi Standards, Metrology and Quality Organization. The partnership aims to enhance the capabilities of Saudi students in international competitions and promote the importance of standards and quality in various fields.
The participation of the Saudi team in the Olympiad reflects the country's commitment to developing young talents and fostering a culture of excellence. The collaboration among key educational and quality institutions highlights a strategic approach to nurturing gifted students and preparing them for global challenges.
