Kuala lumpur: Malaysian Prime Minister Anwar Ibrahim received Prophet's Mosque Imam Sheikh Dr. Salah Al-Budair at the World Trade Centre in Kuala Lumpur yesterday. Ibrahim expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia's efforts in serving Islam and Muslims and promoting the values of moderation and tolerance.
According to Saudi Press Agency, Sheikh Al-Budair affirmed the Kingdom's commitment to strengthening cooperation in Islamic advocacy and exchanging expertise in the service of Islam and Muslims. He also presented Ibrahim with an elegant edition of the Holy Quran.
This meeting is part of the program of visits by the Imams of the Two Holy Mosques, implemented by the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance as part of its efforts to strengthen ties among Muslims, promote the principles of moderation and tolerance, and serve the interests of Muslim communities worldwide.
