Riyadh: The Saudi National Institute of Health (NIH) has been awarded the Certified Government Innovative Organization® (CGInO) certification by the Global Innovation Institute (GInI). This accolade acknowledges NIH's achievement in meeting standards of innovation, leadership, and excellence through its strategic approach.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the CGInO certification serves as an international benchmark reflecting the maturity of government institutions in innovation. The certification is evaluated based on eight main pillars comprising 30 categories that encompass all aspects of institutional innovation systems. This accomplishment underscores NIH's commitment to integrating innovation within health research as a core pillar for institutional excellence. It highlights the institute's dedication to developing and implementing innovative projects with tangible impacts in the short and long term, aiming to enhance human health - a key priority in the Kingdom's research, development, and innovation sector. NIH's efforts contribute to providing innovative services and products to the health research ecosystem, benefiting researchers and research centers. This achievement is in line with the Kingdom Vision 2030, which seeks to promote innovation in the government sector and improve the efficiency of services offered.
