Paris: The Saudi Media Academy of the Ministry of Media has inaugurated the first phase of its Media Leaders Track through an intensive training program in Switzerland, focusing on global event management. This initiative is in collaboration with EHL Hospitality Business School, recognized as the leading global institution for hospitality management by the QS World University Rankings.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the program's launch featured the signing of a memorandum of understanding (MoU) between the academy and EHL. The signing ceremony was attended by Dr. Abdullah bin Ahmed Al-Maghlouth, the Assistant Minister of Media and the academy's board chairman, along with other officials. This agreement seeks to promote international cooperation and cultural and knowledge exchange with top-tier academic institutions worldwide, in alignment with the ministry's vision to support and empower national talent in the media industry.
Academy Chief Executive Khalid Zain Al-Abdeen, alongside EHL Associate Dean of Executive Education Programs St©phane Haddad, formalized the MoU. The training camp is a five-day intensive program offering hands-on experience with workshops conducted by international experts and site visits to premier event institutions. The curriculum emphasizes skills in planning, organizing, and executing major events, team leadership, and creating engaging audience experiences.
This program marks the first practical phase of a comprehensive four-stage training track. It will be succeeded by a specialized digital advertising course in Riyadh, an international media camp in Singapore, and a concluding advanced course on leadership communication strategies. The program is designed for professionals and creatives from various sectors, with the goal of enhancing effective media presence, improving the management of national media events, and strengthening Saudi Arabia's participation in global forums, all in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
