Saudi-Jordanian Joint Business Forum Kicks Off in Amman

Amman: The Saudi-Jordanian Joint Business Forum, organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce in cooperation with the Federation of Saudi Chambers and the Saudi Export Development Authority (Saudi Exports), commenced today in Amman, Jordan. Minister of Industry, Trade, and Supply Eng. Yarub Al-Qudah emphasized the importance of establishing an integrated economic relationship and forging strategic partnerships that serve the interests of both nations. He highlighted the need to develop a new framework for economic cooperation, particularly in light of shifting global trade dynamics and the increasing trend toward protectionist policies.

According to Saudi Press Agency, President of the Al-Jouf Chamber of Commerce and Head of the Saudi Delegation in the Joint Business Council Dr. Hamdan Al-Samreen noted the significant progress in Saudi-Jordanian economic relations over recent years, backed by the leadership of both countries. He described the forum as a valuable platform for business leaders to strengthen trade and investment partnerships in alignment with the ambitions of both nations.

Dr. Al-Samreen further stressed that Saudi Arabia's Vision 2030 and Jordan's Economic Modernization Vision 2033 reflect a shared commitment to deepening economic ties, leveraging competitive advantages, and empowering the private sector to invest in promising industries. He reaffirmed the Federation of Saudi Chambers' dedication to facilitating trade, removing barriers, and fostering stronger cooperation between Saudi and Jordanian investors through mutual visits and economic forums.

During the forum, a cooperation agreement was signed between Saudi Exports and the Jordan Enterprise Development Corporation (JEDCO). Presentations were delivered by Saudi Exports, the Saudi Ministry of Investment, and the Saudi Authority for Industrial Cities and Technology Zones (MODON). The event also featured the signing of agreements between Saudi and Jordanian companies, along with bilateral business meetings aimed at enhancing trade and investment opportunities.
