Saudi, Iraqi Health Ministers Discuss Cooperation in Riyadh

Riyadh: Minister of Health Fahad AlJalajel met with Minister of Health of the Republic of Iraq Dr. Saleh Al-Hasnawi and his accompanying delegation in Riyadh to discuss strengthening health cooperation between the two countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the two sides explored avenues for collaboration in public health, preventive medicine, digital health, and therapeutic care. Discussions also covered investment opportunities in the health sector and enhancing health systems to better respond to epidemics.

The visit culminated in the signing of a memorandum of understanding aimed at developing a sustainable health partnership between the two nations.

Following the meeting, the Iraqi delegation toured several key Saudi health institutions, including King Fahd Medical City, the Saudi Food and Drug Authority, and the Seha Virtual Hospital, where they were briefed on the Kingdom's healthcare innovations and the use of advanced technologies.
