Saudi, International Table Tennis Federations Explore Cooperation

Riyadh: Saudi Table Tennis Federation (STTF) President Prince Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Nasser bin Abdulaziz met here yesterday with International Table Tennis Federation (ITTF) President Petra S¶rling to discuss ways to enhance cooperation and explore promising opportunities.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the STTF president emphasized the significance of this meeting in advancing table tennis within the Kingdom and highlighted that collaboration with the ITTF will significantly contribute to elevating the sport's standards domestically and supporting efforts to qualify Saudi players to participate in international tournaments.

"We aim to solidify the Kingdom's position as a premier global sports destination," stated Prince Mohammed. "We possess the necessary capabilities and infrastructure to host and organize major tournaments adhering to the highest international standards," he added.

He further emphasized that these endeavors align with the Kingdom's Vision 2030, prioritizing improving quality of life and fostering sports as an integral part of society.

S¶rling praised Saudi sports' progress and expressed the ITTF's commitment to supporting the Kingdom's plans to develop table tennis and host international tournaments. She acknowledged the Kingdom's emergence as a significant player in the global sports arena.
