Saudi-French Partnership Showcased at Cultural Investment Conference

Riyadh: The Cultural Investment Conference, organized by the Ministry of Culture in Riyadh, continued yesterday with its seventh session titled "Global Culture: Influence, Capital and Cohesive Power." The session featured Chairman of the French Agency for AlUla Development Jean-Yves Le Drian, and was moderated by curator and writer Nicolas Bourriaud.

According to Saudi Press Agency, Le Drian emphasized that cultural localization has evolved into a strategic tool for enhancing national identity. He asserted that Saudi Arabia can significantly contribute to global culture, with education being essential for nurturing creativity and talent, supported by self-learning and adaptability. He identified culture, talent, and education as the three pillars of success.

He highlighted the cooperation between Saudi Arabia and France in cultural diplomacy, citing AlUla as a model for this exchange. Le Drian noted that France continues to provide expertise to promote Saudi cultural heritage, with French artists and sculptors set to collaborate with their Saudi counterparts in upcoming initiatives.

He regarded the Saudi-French partnership as a successful model for cultural diplomacy, emphasizing mutual respect for each country's unique identity. He asserted that long-term investments in culture can achieve sustainable success and aim for a global cultural impact.

The Cultural Investment Conference, held from September 29 to 30, reflects the rapid expansion of the Saudi cultural sector, fostering a sustainable cultural industry and broadening investment opportunities.
