Saudi Deputy Foreign Minister Represents Kingdom at Africa Day Reception

Riyadh: On behalf of Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah, the Saudi Minister of Foreign Affairs, Deputy Foreign Minister Eng. Walid bin Abdul Karim Al-Khuraiji participated in a reception celebrating the annual Africa Day. The event took place at the Culture Palace in the Diplomatic Quarter of Riyadh.

According to Union of OIC News Agencies, Eng. Al-Khuraiji was welcomed at the Palace of Culture by the Dean of the Diplomatic Corps, Ambassador of Djibouti to Saudi Arabia, Dhia Eddine Bamakhrama, along with the Ambassador of Cameroon and President of the African Group, Aya Tijani. During the event, Eng. Al-Khuraiji delivered a speech highlighting Africa's potential and opportunities. He noted the continent's natural resources, ambitious youth, and renewable potential, acknowledging the challenges posed by conflict and climate change. He emphasized the resilience of African cooperation and the collective aspirations for peace, justice, and development.

Eng. Al-Khuraiji further elaborated on Saudi Arabia's commitment to Africa, expressing the Kingdom's plans to invest $25 billion in the continent. He also mentioned intentions to finance and insure $10 billion in exports and provide an additional $5 billion in development financing by 2030.
