Riyadh: The Saudi Coffee Company, a subsidiary of the Public Investment Fund (PIF), concluded its second Saudi Sip of Excellence Competition, held in partnership with the Alliance for Coffee Excellence during the International Saudi Coffee Exhibition 2025 in Al-Dayer Governorate, Jazan Region. The competition aimed to solidify the Kingdom's position as a producer of high-quality specialty coffee and showcase its global potential.
According to Saudi Press Agency: Farmers from across Saudi Arabia, including Jazan, Al-Baha, Mahayil Aseer, and Rijal Almaa participated, undergoing rigorous evaluation by Alliance for Coffee Excellence standards. The judging process included blind tasting and sample evaluation. Coffee scoring 80 points or above is classified as specialty coffee.
Twelve winners received cash prizes totaling over SAR200,000.
