Saudi Aviation Club Unveils Airshow 2025 Details Under Riyadh Governor’s Patronage

Riyadh: The Saudi Aviation Club has announced details for the General Aviation Airshow 2025, titled "Sand and Fun," which will be held under the patronage of Riyadh Governor Prince Faisal bin Bandar bin Abdulaziz.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the announcement was made at a news conference attended by Saudi Aviation Club founder and chairman Prince Sultan bin Salman bin Abdulaziz, along with club board member and general supervisor Dr. Ahmed AlFahid. The event is set to take place from November 25 to 29 at Al Thumamah Airport in Riyadh, with an expected attendance of over 200,000 visitors. It will feature entertainment zones for both children and adults, offering rich experiences that combine aerial displays with educational content.

The airshow will include over 90 displays by Saudi and international teams, along with special nightly shows. Static displays will give attendees the chance to explore iconic aircraft closely, while a trade exhibition will showcase innovations in the aviation sector with over 100 exhibitors. The exhibition will facilitate networking and strengthen business opportunities within the industry.

The event will also host 'Hangar Talks,' where experts and Saudi astronauts will discuss sustainable aviation and advanced technologies. The 'Aviatainment Zone' will focus on "Learning Through Wonder" with virtual reality simulators, model-building workshops, and interactive cockpit tours to engage visitors actively.

In celebration of the 25th anniversary of the Saudi Aviation Club, Prince Sultan bin Salman announced an initiative to promote inclusivity by offering free admission to people with disabilities and children under six. This initiative aims to ensure comprehensive accessibility at the event, fostering a shared passion for general aviation among all members of society.

Prince Sultan bin Salman highlighted the club's 25-year journey, emphasizing the support from the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques and the Crown Prince. He noted that the airshow's previous edition attracted over 120,000 attendees from 90 countries, showcasing its global significance. The Kingdom's investment in the aerospace sector aims to establish it as a global hub for innovation and talent development.
