Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association yesterday participated in the Arab Virtual Workshop on Crisis and Disaster Response, organized by the Arab Scout Organization - Arab Region via videoconference. The workshop reflects the organization's commitment to enhancing scouting capabilities in dealing with crises and disasters, as well as raising awareness about the importance of preparedness and effective response in such situations.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the workshop addressed several key topics, including the proposed Arab scouting strategy for relief and disaster management, the roles of organizations and agencies involved in crisis and disaster response, and the scouting program before, during, and after crises or disasters.
The Saudi Arabian Scouts Association stressed that its participation in the workshop is part of its ongoing efforts to enhance the readiness of its members to respond to crises and disasters, as well as to support Arab and international scouting initiatives with humanitarian and social dimensions.
