Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef held a series of bilateral meetings with senior executives from leading local and international companies in the iron and steel industry, on the sidelines of the third Saudi International Iron and Steel Conference in Riyadh. The discussions focused on exploring promising investment opportunities in the sector and highlighting the Kingdom's competitive advantages and capabilities in supporting and streamlining the investor journey. They underscored the iron and steel sector's key role in achieving Saudi Vision 2030 goals and the need to expand it to meet growing demand from major national projects.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the companies whose leaders Alkhorayef met with included the Saudi Iron and Steel Company (Hadeed), Al Yamamah Company for Reinforcing Steel Bars, Al-Tilal Steel Company Limited, Baosteel-China's largest iron and steel producer-and India's Essar Steel.
The Saudi International Iron and Steel Conference brings together industry leaders, experts, and decision-makers from more than 35 countries, providing a global platform for dialogue on the future of the sector.
