Saudi arabia: Saudi Arabia secured two gold, three silver, and one bronze medal at the second edition of the North African Olympiad in Informatics (NAOI 2026), held remotely in Libya on April 18, with the participation of 58 competitors representing nine countries.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the NAOI, which launched its first edition in Algeria and includes North African countries and guest nations, aims to enhance regional cooperation in competitive programming, identify young talent in computer science, and prepare them for international competitions, most notably the International Olympiad in Informatics (IOI).
This achievement followed intensive training programs comprising multiple stages of theoretical and practical preparation, as well as domestic and international training camps, all designed to develop students' competitive programming skills.
