Riyadh: The Saudi Arabian Hot Air Ballooning Federation has won the bid to host the 2026 meeting of the Ballooning Commission of the World Air Sports Federation (FAI). This marks a historic first for both the Kingdom and the region.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the bid was secured with a unanimous 100% of the votes, highlighting the growing confidence of the international community in Saudi Arabia's ability to host and organize world-class sporting events.
The Saudi federation expressed its sincere appreciation to the heads of the Aero Club of India, the Ballooning Commission, and the FAI for their continued support and confidence in advancing the sport of ballooning in the Kingdom. It also expressed pride in the new strategic partnerships forged with leading balloon federations worldwide to further develop its strategy in alignment with the Kingdom's Vision 2030.
