Riyadh: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has expressed Saudi Arabia's approval of the recent adoption of the New York Declaration by the UN General Assembly. This resolution, along with its annexes, emerged from a high-level international conference co-chaired by Saudi Arabia and France, focusing on the peaceful resolution of the Palestinian issue and the implementation of the two-state solution. According to Saudi Press Agency, the resolution was supported by a significant majority of 142 countries, highlighting a global consensus favoring a peaceful future for the Palestinian people. The Ministry emphasized that this agreement reaffirms the Palestinian people's legitimate right to establish an independent state based on the 1967 borders, with East Jerusalem serving as its capital.
