Riyadh: Under the patronage of His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud, the Human Capability Development Program (HCDP) announced the second edition of the Human Capability Initiative (HCI). Scheduled for April 13-14, 2025, at the King Abdulaziz International Convention Center in Riyadh, the event will run with the theme 'Beyond Readiness'. Concurrently, the Education Global Exhibition (EDGEx) organized by the Ministry of Education will take place from April 13-16, 2025.
According to Saudi Press Agency, HCI 2025 will emphasize themes of learning, belonging, and action, catering to the urgent need for developing human potential during a time of significant global transition. The initiative aims to promote a future where individuals and communities collaboratively shape progress by leveraging learning science, fostering inclusive communities, and empowering change-makers.
Minister of Education and Chairman of the HCDP Executive Committee, Yousef bin Abdullah Al-Benyan, expressed gratitude for the Crown Prince's support of the conference, stating that its organization underscores the importance of global dialogue and effort in advancing human capabilities. Al-Benyan highlighted EDGEx as a platform for universities and companies to explore advanced technologies and educational innovations, particularly in artificial intelligence, aligning with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
HCI 2025 is expected to attract over 12,000 participants, including experts, officials, and decision-makers, with more than 300 speakers from various sectors. The event seeks to build on the success of its inaugural edition in February 2024, which drew over 10,000 attendees and resulted in significant agreements and investments in the human capability sector.
The Ministry of Education's EDGEx will exhibit technological advancements and innovative educational programs from leading institutions and will include workshops for knowledge sharing and strategic agreement signings with global educational entities.
