Cairo: The eighth International Egyptian Dates Festival opened yesterday in Egypt for a three-day event, bringing together more than 120 exhibitors from 11 countries, including Saudi Arabia, as part of ongoing Arab and international efforts to support the date industry and promote agricultural innovation.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the opening day featured the inauguration of the exhibition, highlighting the latest innovations and modern techniques in date cultivation, processing, packaging, and distribution. The exhibition also showcased handicrafts and traditional industries from participating countries, reflecting the cultural and economic significance of the sector.
The festival aims to strengthen and develop the global date industry, facilitate the exchange of expertise among producers and processors, and open new opportunities for marketing and exporting date products.
