Saudi Arabia Renews Firm, Steadfast Position Supporting Palestinian Cause, Stopping Israeli Aggression

Jeddah: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia called on the international community to intervene immediately and urgently to stop unjustified Israeli aggression against unarmed civilians in the occupied Palestinian territories. It also emphasized the importance of holding Israel responsible for the destruction, devastation, and shedding of innocent blood. Saudi Arabia urged the immediate implementation of all resolutions issued by the United Nations (UN), the UN Security Council, and the International Court of Justice in response to the situation. Particularly, they stressed the significance of the Holy City of Jerusalem and the Al-Aqsa Mosque in the conscience and heart of the Islamic nation, insisting that their status and historical Islamic identity must not be tampered with. The permanent representative of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Dr. Saleh bin Hamad Al-Suhaibani, made these statements during the international symposium "Jerusalem and the Gaza War: Palestinian Identity and Existence Under Threat of Erasure," held at the headquarters of the Committee on the Exercise of the Inalienable Rights of the Palestinian People (CEIRPP) and the OIC in Jeddah. In addition, Dr. Al-Suhaibani noted that the Kingdom is committed to supporting the Palestinian people on all levels to help them achieve their aspirations for the independence of the State of Palestine in accordance with international law and United Nations resolutions. He highlighted the Kingdom's extensive and intensive participation in supporting the Palestinian cause in the United Nations and other international forums. This includes political, legal, and humanitarian support, as well as the Kingdom's leadership of the ministerial committee dedicated to formulating an international response to the war on Gaza and launching a genuine political process for a permanent and comprehensive peace. Dr. Al-Suhaibani stressed the Kingdom's humanitarian efforts through The King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSre lief), providing relief and assistance to the affected Palestinians in the Gaza Strip. He noted that the Kingdom has provided approximately $5.258 billion in support to the Palestinians in recent years. The Kingdom reiterated its firm and unwavering support for the Palestinian cause and its commitment to finding a just solution that ensures the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people. Dr. Al-Suhaibani emphasized that the Palestinian cause and the rights of the Palestinian people to their land will not expire over time and that international efforts are needed to contribute to the achievement of a just and lasting peace.
