Paris: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia is participating in the 33rd session of the General Conference of the Intergovernmental Oceanographic Commission (IOC) of the United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO). The event commenced today at UNESCO headquarters in Paris, France, and will continue until July 3, featuring delegations from various UNESCO member states.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi participation aligns with the Kingdom's commitment to supporting global initiatives in ocean sciences, protecting the marine environment, and advancing concepts of blue sustainability, in accordance with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
