Riyadh: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the Kingdom of the Netherlands signed several agreements and memoranda of understanding (MoUs) between entities from the environment, water, and agriculture sectors, along with Saudi and Dutch companies and entities. The deals include investments exceeding SAR428 million to develop and localize advanced technologies in environmental, water, and agricultural fields.
According to Saudi Press Agency, during his June 10-12 visit to the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Vice Minister of Environment, Water and Agriculture Eng. Mansour bin Hilal Al Mushaiti oversaw the signing of 27 agreements and MoUs. The signing was witnessed by senior officials from the ministry and representatives from both the public and private sectors.
The visit aligns with the ministry's strategy to enhance the global competitiveness of Saudi Arabia's agricultural sector. This includes expanding the production and export of local agricultural products, boosting trade with the Netherlands, and strengthening international partnerships. These efforts are in line with the goals of Saudi Vision 2030.
