Riyadh: The government and people of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia join the United Arab Emirates in commemorating the UAE’s 54th anniversary of formation tomorrow, highlighting the enduring fraternal ties between the two countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, on December 2, 1971, the rulers of Abu Dhabi, Dubai, Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, and Fujairah united to establish a modern federal state under a provisional constitution. Ras Al Khaimah joined the federation on February 10, 1972, completing the union and ushering in a period of significant construction, progress, and national development.

Rooted in shared history, close geography, and deep cultural and religious connections, relations between the Kingdom and the UAE have been further reinforced under the leadership of Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud and UAE President Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan.

The United Arab Emirates stands out as a successful model of Arab unity, having developed a stable system of governance, administration, and development over more than 50 years.
