Basra: The Ministry of Foreign Affairs expressed the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia's condemnation and denunciation of the storming and vandalism of the Consulate General of the State of Kuwait in the Iraqi city of Basra, as well as the blatant violations of the sanctity of the consular mission.
According to Saudi Press Agency, the ministry reaffirmed the Kingdom's firm rejection of such irresponsible acts, stressing that states are obligated to ensure the full protection of consular personnel and premises, in accordance with the Vienna Convention on Consular Relations of 1963.
