Tunis: The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia concluded its participation yesterday in the 39th Tunis International Book Fair, which was themed "We Read to Build" and featured 313 exhibitors from over 20 countries.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the Saudi cultural program experienced a significant turnout of Tunisian and Arab intellectuals, students, and media professionals. Attendees expressed their admiration for the cultural and literary offerings, the organization of events, and the varied selections. This participation reflected a shared cultural understanding and a mutual commitment to making the fair a platform for cultural exchange between the two sides.

Saudi Arabia's presence at the fair also highlighted the Kingdom's Year of Handicrafts celebration through a live demonstration of the art of weaving the Saudi bisht and agal, significant symbols of Saudi Arabia's cultural identity. The Kingdom's pavilion included the King Salman Global Academy for the Arabic Language, the Ministry of Education, and the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Dawah and Guidance, which gifted visitors over 10,000 copies of the Holy Quran throughout the exhibition.
