Saudi Arabia and Peru Explore Mining Sector Collaboration

Riyadh: Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources Bandar Alkhorayef met with Peru's Minister of Energy and Mines Jorge Cornejo and Minister of Foreign Affairs Elmer Schialer to discuss enhancing bilateral relations, particularly in the industrial and mining sectors. The meeting, which took place today, focused on opportunities in mining exploration and strategic minerals.

According to Saudi Press Agency, the discussions highlighted Saudi Arabia's comprehensive mining strategy and the investment opportunities across the mining value chain. The importance of international cooperation in the mining and minerals sector was emphasized to support industry advancement and ensure sustainability.

The meeting also covered the objectives of Saudi Arabia's National Strategy for Industry, with a particular focus on promising opportunities in sub-sectors such as the food industry. Discussions included the Kingdom's enablers and incentives to attract and support investors in these areas.

Minister Alkhorayef invited the Peruvian ministers to attend the Future Minerals Forum in Riyadh next January. This event is a leading global platform that will bring together industry leaders to explore challenges and future prospects in the mining and metals sector.
